Thank You for Making this Island so Beautiful

As part of Davina and Daniel’s residency in Suomenlinna during August 2009 Davina and Daniel worked with the open prison on the island. They were interested by the fact that firstly there was an open prison on a world heritage site (the whole island is a UNESCO World Heritage site) and that secondly there was little mention of it in any tourist information, despite the prisoners maintaining and caring for the whole island...

Contested Ground
